Walter Oketta is our project manager for all home construction in Northern Uganda. He has extensive background experience in human resources, non-profit work, and holistic approaches to post war community rehabilitation. Walter has a Bachelor’s degree in both education and speech pathology, an administrative law certificate, and a Master’s degree in public administration and management. Walter lives in Gulu with his beautiful wife Jennifer, and his three daughters, Patience, Precious and Pearl. We are so thankful of the work Walter does for Homes For Homes and are inspired by the way he humbly serves the people of Gulu.
Okwadoko, Uganda is located next to Wol-Lugung, in the northern region of Uganda. This community has strong local leadership, a school, and good water sources. They struggle with the effects of generational poverty, and the legacy of these homes is changing the landscape of this community. Our construction teams are thrilled to build homes for their neighbors in this community with 85 families.
