Senior Board Members

Mike Smalling

Co-Founder, Board President

Mike Smalling is a Partner and Senior Mortgage Officer with Steadfast Mortgage.  With more than 30 years of lending experience and CFP training, he brings a financial planning approach to mortgage counseling.

  

Mike helped form Homes 4 Homes with a desire to make safe, stable housing possible for families who would otherwise never have the opportunity.

Jonathan Harris

Co-Founder, Board Vice President

Jonathan Harris is the CEO and Broker of Scout Realty, a Nashville-based real estate company. His work in real estate reflects a deep belief that housing should create stability, opportunity, and long-term value for families.


Through his leadership, business experience, and commitment to service, he continues to help advance the mission of Homes 4 Homes and bring lasting change to families around the world.

Josh Terry

Founding Board Member & Secretary

Josh Terry is a partner in Tennessee Title Services, LLC, The Title Group, LLC, and RPR Insurance, LLC, where he is known for steady leadership, strong relationships, and a genuine commitment to serving others. A graduate of Lipscomb University, Josh has lived in Middle Tennessee for nearly 30 years, giving him deep roots in the community he serves.

Michelle Smalling

Executive Director, Board Member

Michelle Smalling has served as the Executive Director of Homes 4 Homes since its founding in 2015. With a deep heart for families living in extreme poverty, Michelle helps lead the organization’s mission to provide safe, stable homes in communities around the world.


Michelle holds a finance degree from Samford University and an MBA from Middle Tennessee State University. Her background in finance, operations, and nonprofit leadership allows her to guide Homes 4 Homes with both strategic vision and personal compassion.

Jonathan Martinez

Board Treasurer & Senior Member

Jonathan Martinez is a construction and community leader with a deep commitment to serving families and strengthening Middle Tennessee. Jonathan studied architecture at The University of Texas at Austin and now serves as part of the R.C. Mathews Contractor family.
 

His heart for service is reflected through years of community involvement, including his leadership with Urban Land Institute’s Housing Action Council, Rotaract Nashville, Interfaith Dental, Safe Haven Family Shelter, and Young Leaders Council.

Blake Barker

Senior Board Member

Blake is the founder of Shepherd Group, a fully integrated real estate business that serves people, fosters community, and creates lasting value through thoughtful development and service.


In 2025, Blake earned his Master's in Real Estate Development from Auburn University, further equipping him to navigate complex projects and better serve his clients.

Board Member

Leslie Logan Hill

Leslie is a Real Estate Agent with the Logan + Hill Group at Compass, bringing a refined, client-centered approach to the Nashville and Williamson County markets. As a second-generation Realtor, Leslie collaborates with a highly experienced team to provide strategic negotiation and concierge-level support, ensuring each client receives thoughtful guidance from search to closing.

Walter Oketta

Director of Uganda Operations

Walter Oketta Ogwang is Director of Operations for Homes 4 Homes in Uganda. Raised in Northern Uganda during the LRA conflict, he pursued education against significant odds, earning a university degree through a charity bursary.


Walter now leads Homes 4 Homes' work on the ground, overseeing the construction of hundreds of permanent homes, latrines, water and sanitation projects, and a church, bringing secure housing to families in his home community for the first time. He lives in Uganda with his wife, Jennifer, and their family, driven by his Christian faith and a commitment to restoring hope and dignity to the communities he serves.

Summer Combs

Director of Development

Summer Combs serves as Development Director for Homes4Homes, overseeing fundraising, donor engagement, and strategic partnerships to expand the organization's impact. After supporting the mission for more than six years as an advocate, she joined the team in 2024 to help more families find safe, secure housing.
 

With over 20 years of experience in sales, retail, and real estate, Summer brings expertise in relationship building, marketing, and business development. She lives in Mount Juliet, Tennessee, with her husband, Michael, and their two children.

Advisory Board Members

Grayson Davis

Grayson is a Private Banker at J.P. Morgan where he helps individuals and families build long-term financial stability and legacy expansion through strategic wealth planning, lending, and investment guidance. He is passionate about helping people create strong foundations that can lead to lasting and generational impact for their families.

Logan Gudiera

Logan Guidera is an architect, creative strategist, and educator-minded designer passionate about using design to create lasting community impact. His work emphasizes sustainability-driven design, innovative problem solving, and the integration of emerging technologies.

Logan Punch

Logan Punch is an attorney based in Nashville and an active member of his firm’s transportation practice group. His legal work focuses primarily on personal injury, transportation, and insurance defense law. With a background in law, business, athletics, and public service.

Catherine Felton,

NCARB, LEED BD+C

Catherine Felton is a Nashville-based architect with 10 years of experience from initial concepts through construction. She currently serves as a Project Manager with Smith Gee Studios, a firm focusing on affordable housing in Nashville and throughout the Southeast.

Wilson Reese

CFP, CPA

Wilson is a CFP® professional and CPA and has worked in financial services for over 10 years where he specifically enjoys working with charitably minded individuals. He and his wife have 2 biological children and are also in the process of adopting another.
